The Brahmastra trailer, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, will premiere online today, June 15th. There is no doubt that the fantasy drama directed by Ayan Mukerji is one of the most anticipated movies of the past several years. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the trailer and release of the film ever since the first motion poster was released a few weeks ago. The film stars the couple as well as Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. Did you know Alia had already expressed her happiness that Brahmastra is the first film in how she and Ranbir would appear together?

You read that correctly; this is not a joke. Alia had previously told Pinkvilla that she looks up to Ranbir and that she feels she has a lot to learn from him. She went on to say how excited she is to work with Ranbir for the first time on a film as ambitious as Brahmastra. I couldn't be happier that the first time he and I have worked together is on a picture like this. Once upon a time, I found myself wondering, "When will I get to work with him?" As in, "What do you think is going to happen?" This is what followed. It's been a time since Brahmastra was first imagined, too; five years after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, to be exact. When I first met Ayan [Mukerji], we instantly connected. When he offered me this role, it was a watershed moment for me. Even though I wasn't who I am now, he still had faith in me. I was quite excited about it, and ever since then, I've looked forward to each day I got to spend on the set. It presents me with fresh challenges every day, and as an actor, it has allowed me complete freedom.
Continuing, Alia stated, "I have always thought that when Ranbir and I come together, it needs to be wonderful and literally, it can't get more magical than this." All this is said in good faith and without any sense of superiority on my part. We're making great strides in that direction.
Both Ranbir and Alia turned to social media yesterday to inform their millions of followers that a trailer will soon be available. Alia claims that she hasn't slept well for a week because of her enthusiasm, while Ranbir says he can't wait to see the trailer's reception.
Brahmastra hits theatres on the 9th of September.
